Biography

A model who works through a social account is running a small publisher. The feed is the shop window, the post is the advertisement, and the booking is the transaction that follows. That changes what a photograph has to do. In a studio set, the image is finished when the photographer is satisfied; on a phone, it is finished when it has been seen, saved and sent on. The advantage is reach and speed. The cost is that the work never quite rests, because the account has to be fed on the days when nothing is being shot.

Panama adds a second layer to that. The country is small enough for a local reputation to be built in a few years, and connected enough for the same images to circulate in Spanish and English without translation. A model based there is not working in a provincial backwater; she is working in a hub with a thin local industry and a wide audience. This page states the base, the billing, the account and the profile. It is independent, it is not authorised, and it does not claim more for the record than the record carries.
